  • Type services.msc and hit enter

  • Services window will open, now double click on QuickBooksDBXX

  • Now select the automatic as startup type in the properties windows 

  • Service status should be running, started, or start

  • Now open the recovery tab

  • Select the restart the services in First failure, Second failure, and Subsequent failures

  • Click apply and then click on ok


Now repeat the steps for the QBCFMonitorService. And start the Quickbooks in multi-user mode. 

5. Adding the server to the windows host file

  • Browse to any of these two paths: “C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\Etc” or “C:\Windows\Syswow64\Drivers\Etc”

  • Open the host file in the notepad

  • Enter the server’s IP address and server name after the last IP

  • Save the file
